This week Mo Bro’s had an opportunity to sell our products in a shopping centre for the first time and talk to our customers face to face. We met a lot of nice bearded fellas and had some chats about grooming. The most common question that we got asked was: how to grow more facial hair? A lot of guys said ‘my beard just won’t grow’ or ‘it’s just too patchy’. We are here to answer these questions and to give you some advise.
Keep Your Face Clean
You can grow facial hair much faster if your face is consistently kept clean. This will help to make better environment for your facial hair to grow.
It is just as important to clean it in the evening as it is in the morning. Why? Because oil, dirt, and dead skin can create an impossibly thick barricade for your hair follicles to break through and letting the day’s dirt and oil sit on your skin overnight makes it harder for your hair to grow.
Aim to wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser. We recommend using warm water instead of hot, because hot water strips skin of its natural protective oils, leaving your facial region dry and itchy.
Keep Your Skin Moisturised
It all goes back to providing the optimal environment for hair growth. It is important to moisturise your skin in order to reduce dry, flaky, and itchy skin, which means fewer problems for your skin and beard.
We suggest applying beard oil daily right after washing your face. The biggest benefit of this product is that it can reach the skin beneath the beard and moisturise it. This is important, because it will prevent your skin from drying out. What you should also know about beard oil is that it promotes the hair growth and the new hair will be thicker and fuller.
Stimulate Your Hair Follicles
The best way to do it is by massaging your face. A light massage over your face can benefit your beard by encouraging the hair follicles to grow in faster and thicker, relax and even increase circulation, boosting blood and oxygen flow to your face.
It won’t take a lot of time and you can do it yourself! If you are using any products for your face, a massage will help your skin to absorb it better.
So how to massage your your face? It’s very simple:
Circle your fingertips while applying light pressure, working in sections from the bottom up. Rub in small circular motions, and massage your face consistently for about 10 to 15 minutes twice per day.
